Three Days Grace is a Canadian rock band, formed in Norwood, Ontario, Canada, in 1992, under the name Groundswell. After a breakup in 1995, the band reformed in 1997 under its current name and with a line-up consisting of guitarist and lead vocalist Adam Gontier, drummer and backing vocalist Neil Sanderson, and bassist Brad Walst. In 2003, Barry Stock was recruited as the band’s lead guitarist.
After signing to Jive Records, Three Days Grace released two studio albums, Three Days Grace in 2003 and One-X in 2006, both of which have been certified platinum and double platinum in the United States and Canada, respectively. In 2007, the band was declared number one rock artist of the year by Billboard and was the number four artist in airplay in Canada that same year. The band’s third album, Life Starts Now, was released on September 22, 2009.
Seether is a South-African post-grunge/alternative metal band from Pretoria, South Africa, formed in 1999. The band is currently signed to Wind-up Records. Originally named Saron Gas and signed to Musketeer Records in South Africa, they changed their name in 2002, coinciding with the release of their second album and major label debut, Disclaimer. To date they have sold 5 million albums worldwide.
Chevelle is an American rock trio that formed in 1995 in Grayslake, Illinois. The band originally comprised three brothers: Pete (lead vocals/guitar), Sam (drums/percussion), and Joe Loeffler (bass/backing vocals). Joe left the band in 2005 and was replaced by brother-in-law, Dean Bernardini, soon after. Chevelle has sold nearly two million albums in the United States. The band recently finished recording its fifth album, Sci-Fi Crimes, which was released on August 31, 2009.
